Hi Wes, The lathe was sold to me as a running machine, so a retrofit should not be mandatory. I was just thinking that this group would be likely to want to use EMC2.
The factory controls are Fanuc 6T with CRT and keyboard. This stuff is 1984 vintage. The machine actually has two of them, one for X and Z on the main turret, and a second for the Z that runs the end working turret. They share the same CRT and keyboard. The original controls are capable of cutting with both turrets at the same time using two G code programs and M functions to stop and wait for sync points between programs. The EMC2 conversion shown in the YouTube video seems not to attempt this. I do have spares for most of the cards. I also have both the Hardinge operators manual and maintenance manual. Plus I have the generic Fanuc 6T OEM systems integrators manual.
