The "ceil" function must be provided by rtai for realtime kernel modules. If you did not configure rtai properly, this function will not be available.
In the packages linuxcnc.org provides for ubuntu 8.04, the 'ceil' function is provided by 'rtai_math.ko'. I believe this feature is included when you specify --enable-fpu when configuring rtai.
