I like http://www.gpleda.org/index.html Its free, very active 
developers. They are much like the EMC2 developers in the respect there 
are always updates forth coming.
of course you need to be a linux user as its not written for Windows. 
Seems to me Ubuntu has a direct update for gEDA, though I use OpenSuSE 
11.3 mostly and it does not.
