Is the experimental kernel a rtai-patched vanilla kernel or a 
rtai-patched ubuntu kernel ? Afair the rtai guys always insist on
using vanilla kernels. Ok, that may relate to guaranteeing realtime
responses, not booting at all.

Of course it would be cool to have a live usb-stick (or cd) for testing quad
core machines ;).

Btw, the ubuntu source packages have not been uploaded yet, right ?
