This is great.

I have just a minor nitpick with the shell script emc-install.sh. About
7 lines down, the raw "cat > /etc/..." should be "sudo cat > /etc/...."

Otherwise, if one follows the instructions, the script ends in failure
with the message "E: Couldn't find package emc2".

Looking back through the console output, one sees that cat was denied
permission to write /etc/apt/sources.linux.d/linuxcnc.lst.

I was in a hurry so I just reran the script as "sudo sh emc-install.sh".

From there, it was a dead-easy installation to a fresh, bare Ubuntu
10.04. I started the script, went to make coffee, and found a full-up
EMC2 installation waiting for me when I returned to the console.

Target computer: homebuilt from Intel D945GCLF2 (1.6GHz Atom 330) with
2GB RAM, onboard video.

Thanks and a tip of the hat to all involved.

Regards,
Kent
