I made them myself as the tight space available meant that the conventional design (with the closing ramps lower than the tension face would not fit). I was planning to make them from solid and then split them, but hit on a rather better way: I clamped 4 square bars of O1 tool steel in the 4-jaw chuck with about 12mm protruding, faced it off and turned a 10mm long 12mm dia register. I then pressed on a pre-made collar and centre-drilled the end of the bundle. The bundle was then pulled out of the chuck and set up with a centre, and the OD was turned. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJ9qVexXirk ) I then cut off the square end and mounted the bundle in an ER32 collet in the headstock to bore the internal features. -- atp ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Palm PDK Hot Apps Program offers developers who use the Plug-In Development Kit to bring their C/C++ apps to Palm for a share of $1 Million in cash or HP Products.
