Try loading 10.04 from http://www.ubuntu.com/desktop/get-ubuntu/download then install EMC as per http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/emcinfo.pl?Installing_EMC2 The 10.04 live installation wouldn't even boot my PC. The official one worked fine. (Not a media problem - simply doesn't work with my PC hardware.) My latency halved without any configuration, I've also accepted every update since. Doesn't seem to be a problem either. Steve Blackmore -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Beautiful is writing same markup.
