Yes, but it shouldn't only affect the homing, it should affect all 
moves.  Running a machine with those wide slides at 30 F is going to 
produce a LOT of viscous friction.  That's why I'm so glad that I have 
my Bridgeport in the basement.  It sometimes gets a little cool down 
there, but not too bad.  You can run Halscope and see what the following 
error is at different speeds.  While it is possible there is something 
else going on, the way oil is a very likely culprit.  Computers are not 
really designed to run at those temperatures, either.  I guess an SSD 
helps in that regard.
