Is there some reason you HAVE to use Ethernet instead of a one wire bus?

National Semi made the best sensor last time I dug into this I2C instead of 
1-wire - there is even a 
small amount of memory in the device where you could store error offsets if you 
need extreme accuracy.

  You can get a USB-2-Ethernet adapter if you insist on Ethernet.

You can connect ALL of your sensors to the same pair of wire -


There is also GNU software available to make it all work -  and if it fails to 
do just what you 
want, jump into the code and tweak it.
