You can run the latest versions of EMC2 on the old version of Ubuntu, if you want. My Lathe is running master (approximately 2.6, except there isn't a 2.6) on Ubuntu 8,04, so EMC2 features are not a reason to change the Ubuntu distribution. I think that 10.04 is rather nicer though. Does your dmesg output mention "LAPIC" anywhere (probably early in the boot, before EMC2 starts) -- atp "Torque wrenches are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable. Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes sense of it. IT sense. And common sense. http://p.sf.net/sfu/splunk-d2dcopy2 _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list Emc-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
