I have a non-EMC project where I run an EMC-Live 10.04 distro of 
Ubuntu.  It was installed
with a keyboard, mouse and LCD monitor, but is now booted with none of 
those, and
accessed via Ethernet.  I have had no problems booting without monitor, 
kbd and mouse.  This is
a D525MW system with traditional VGA 15-pin connector, so maybe there is 
a problem with
XDVI  or other interface to the video.
