Yes, I built a doubler (the aim was to connect it to an Arduino and
IRAMS module to make a step-up 3-phase fixed-frequency drive to run
the motor in my milling machine.

I looked at the dot-board in front of me, with 730V DC on it and got
scared, and didn't pursue the idea any further.
