The HostMot2 resolver interface is absolute (for one electrical resolver turn anyway), and its driver code does some things like index/index enable emulation that would need to be added to a absolute encoder interface to make use of the current LinuxCNC homing on index options. Of course with a full travel absolute encoder homing is not needed... The hostmot2 firmware has both SSI and BISS absolute encoder interfaces built in but untested and with no driver support currently. > And particularly absolute linear encoders, with or without LinuxCNC. > Thanks, > Andrew Peter Wallace Mesa Electronics ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
