Actually, we think of using absolute linear encoders, but they're neither
common nor cheap. I just asked for quote on some (probably) cheaper LIKA
encoders with 5um resolution, they have both SSI and BISS versions, we'll
see.
And what's the approximate price for those Renishaw, by the way?
