Hi Guys, I'm new here, and this is my second post, so I'm sorry up front if I'm stepping on any toes.
I've got a question about smartProbe.ngc, if anyone's got any experience with it. In 2.4, it didn't work for me, and I used gridProbe.ngc a lot. Worked fine but was slow. Now that 2.5 is out, smartProbe.ngc works, but it will usually stop mid-run with a 'probe already tripped' error. I can get the exact error if anyone is interested. Managed to get smartProbe to finish a run by running it about 10 times. It stopped in a different position each time. I've tried running with a lower feed speed, but it still errors. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd like to use smartProbe for my work, but it's not stable enough for me as yet. GridProbe always works fine, though. I'm running LinuxCNC 2.5 on an Intel Atom, no latency issues, parallel port Probotix controller, 3-axis Zen Toolworks.
