Thanks for that, so far, and for clarifying that #5420 is not absolute. This is a big step forward. Now you have me intrigued... so how do I get absolute? I had imagined everything would be absolute internally, then offsets would be added to get current workspace co-ordinates, but if G28 and G30 work in absolute, where do they pick up those values from? So that led me to think there was a set of parameters which always held current absolute, with no account being taken of offsets (so that absolute always means absolute).
