Hello All as a vendor who has been at the last 10 IMTS shows here ate the
facts. Expensive but $60 K I don't think so. Also if someone wanted to put
together a CNC workshop there are lots of spaces available for paid
conferences. As a famous Detective Joe Friday once said
"All we want are the facts."
IMTS 2014 Space Options
New, Easy-to-Exhibit Options
Beyond the traditional raw floor space option at IMTS, two
new booth package plans are available. Both give you everything you need to
exhibit at IMTS 2014. These packages are designed to make exhibiting easier
than ever and they'll save you time and money. Take the

Option 1: Raw Floor Space
Booth Space Cost: $30 per square foot.

* Carpet - Custom cut - 26 oz. plush
* Nightly Cleaning
* Visqueen Covering (prior to show)
* Standard Furniture:

* 1 XPress LeadPro Lead Retrieval Package
* Exhibitors will have the choice of one of the following lead

Chicago is definitely a special case. They are the worse I have seen
and I have worked dozens of shows in the midwest.
At one time, I was told that New York City was very similar.
Everyone other place I have been has been much more reasonable, if you
bring it yourself. If not the prices are as you describe or more!
If you don't bring your own tables/chairs/booth etc they typically gouge
you.
Best to plan ahead or bring a stack of $50 bills.
