http://www.hotspotshield.com/en I have used this free VPN service from China and Mexico to get access to US based services like Gmail, Youtube, and Netflix and it works fine. The adds on the free service are a little bothersome but hey, it's free! :-) I was in China last fall when the new Chinese government officials were being selected and the Chinese clamped down on VPN services by tightening the Chinese internet firewall, but I was still able to get to my Gmail account if I logged into Google.uk from China via Hotspot shield so I could get to my US based Gmail account. I could not access my US based Gmail account directly, even with Hotspot shield active. The efforts that the Chinese government goes to screw with their citizens freedoms is simply silly. Also using something like Hotspot shield helps prevent hackers from grabbing your account ID and Passwords from Wireless Hotspot resort locations like Cancun, Mexico.
