I tried the "axis_9axis" sim config, and it shows A axis motion correctly on 
2.5.2.  I'm not sure why your config isn't working right.  Can you pastebin all 
your config files so we can take a look?

The left side of the screen shows a vismach ("visualize machine") window, with 
some effort you can teach vismach about your machine geometry and get that 
display working for you, but I don't know anything about that.
