I have that controller. Out of the box with a default linuxcnc install, it had a very high pitched whine with the motors.
Its marginal depending on your machine. For desktop, it works. I use it with a Microcarve MV3. Use it mainly for wax, plastics, and some 3D printing. Never really stress the system.
