Either way, it can be useful. About a month ago, one 240v mains phase
dropped out in our street, leaving me with only 160 - 165 Vrms (varying
slowly) The PicoPSU-80-WI-32V meant that the computer sailed on,
oblivious to the problem. The ADSL modem kept rebooting, and the LCD
monitor blanked a few times, before I realised anything was awry.
(OK, a 160-240v mains SMPS would just barely have managed ... possibly.)

Mind you, the neighbour was worse off - he was on the phase which went,
so had nothing.

I turned my fridge off first.
