The BeagleBone is currently using software step/dir, generated by the
PRU and running with a 10 uS update rate that I hope to reduce to 1 uS
or less when I get to tweaking for speed.

There's currently no PCI or PCIe slot to hook a Mesa card to the
BeagleBone for hardware motion control, but it probably wouldn't take
much to turn the PRU into an EPP controller and talk to something like
a 7I43 using hostmot2.  Hmm....
