Hmm...it shouldn't matter what distribution you run it under. The
setup script is mostly making partitions, creating file-systems, and
extracting tarballs. Exactly what issue(s) did you have?

You need to edit the one in /boot/uboot/, or more specifically, the
one in the FAT partition of the SD Card.

Make sure you are patient. On the first boot, it's generating fresh
host keys, which can take a bit on the ARM (especially if you don't
have a terminal connected for any sort of feedback).

If you need the HDMI enabled to see a console, you can leave it turned
on (don't edit the uEnv.txt file optargs= line). You will not be able
to load my device-tree overlay and see pins twiddle, but you can still
poke around.

If you load the BB-BONE-PRU-01 overlay instead of the BB-LCNC-BEBOPR
one in my instructions, you should still be able to launch the BeBoPr
configuration and may be able to see the GPIO pins twiddle, depending
on the default pin muxing. As long as you loaded an overlay that
enables the PRU, the PRU step/dir code will be running, but without
the proper pin muxing the signals just won't make it to the outside world.
