Yes he does!

I'm having exactly the same problem. I have the Intel D525MW
motherboard, and the outputs work but the inputs do not.

I was doing some busy work on the laser last night and was going to do
an online search for an answer to my problem, but I stopped to think
about it myself before searching. I considered a couple of
possibilities. Maybe the LPT port wasn't set to EPP mode, although I
thought I had done that in the BIOS setup, or maybe the cable that was
supplied with the DB25-1205 breakout board wasn't actually a
bidirectional cable.

Then I read your previous email to the list describing how the BIOS
setup did not set the LPT port to EPP mode on the D525MW motherboard and
you needed to run the code that Jon provided. That was some timely
news. I saved the email with the code onto the USB thumb drive that I
use for LinuxCNC so I could cut and paste the code and try it on the CNC
router build that I'm currently finishing. Based on your description in
the follow-up email (see above), I'm confident that this is my problem
and your solution will work for me to get the limit switches and touch
probe inputs working.

Thank you for your very helpful post. If you don't hear any more from
me, assume your suggestion fixed my input problem!

I need to make a list of all of the BIOS setup and other PC stuff that I
need to do on the D525MW motherboard to make it useable for LinuxCNC, so
future CNC projects are easier.
