All the time.  The VAST majority of switching power supplies out there are
analog loops.  Wall warts, all your computer power supplies, etc have
analog integrators and gain settings.  Only larger, more expensive,
supplies can afford digital controllers and often many of those still have
analog inner loops.

Never seen a pneumatic controller.  Would be cool to watch.  Though I guess
I have seen hydraulic servos work and thats similar.  Less 'spring'
increases their bandwidth & resonance to the point it has to be a ton
easier to tune than pneumatics though.
