Hope you get hooked up with somebody who knows it. Does the old Cinci control still work? It might be possible to put a scope, logic analyzer or protocol analyzer on the connection and discover the protocol. I think somebody indicated it might just be RS-485 serial? You could probably rig a level converter and connect it to a PC serial port (or USB serial pod) to record the traffic. Click some stuff on the control, record what lights on the I/O modules change and compare to the recorded traffic. I suspect the protocol would be dead simple.
