Well It turns out that the 3-531-4370 IBA is not a serially interfaced device
but rather a parallel bus adapter (decoding,latching,buffering), so no real
protocol, but just a simple parallel bus.
The basic I/O cards (DCI,DCO,ACI,ACO) appear to be 1 bit data devices (a bit
address reads/writes a single bit from/to the card). I expect fancier cards
(Analog out etc) use a 8 bit data bus.
Once the signals are determined, it would probably be pretty easy to simulate
the bus with some parallel I/O.
So do your racks have a 3-531-4370(A,B,C) bus adapter?
