Since it's almost the same, and given the fact some of you retrofitted an
old Mazak machining center, I would like to ask if you have any information
about these kind of servo and drives.

We've got an old Mazak QT20 (1983 if I remember correctly) that has
Mitsubishi servo motors (with resolver) and drives. The machine is solidly
working and the CNC is more than good.

But, I would like to know if it's easy to use the same drives with the
motors using LinuxCNC in case of a mayor CNC malfunction. This is to have
an idea since some day I think I'm going to upgrade the Mazatrol control
and LinuxCNC is the best option by far.

I don't know if the drives use standar PWM for the velocity reference, or
if they use an analog voltage. Besides I don't know where the torque loop
is calculated.

If you guys could tell me something about these drives would be really
good, If you need the model numbers I can tell you in a few hours.
