Hi, The screen update is certainly way behind, but that isn't a real issue for me. I'm looking at a type of ncPOD replacement system for a customer. The ncPOD system didn't have any realtime display (or even semi realtime) as far as I can tell. The user would download(dump) a program to the ncPOD and just let it run blindly. The customer wants to be able to "run" the system on the same machine that does the CAD (Windows machine) rather than have an extra keyboard and monitor, thus the reason for running headless in the first place.
Jogging through mouse clicks seems somewhat "laggy". Right now I'm looking in to using a USB numeric keypad input to the BBB to do the jogging with rather than using the mouse through Axis-through SSH to the BBB. I'm hoping the response will be better. I need to find out how to "steal" the USB input from the main console (unused) and allow the remote session to use it for jogging. I think it just means setting up HAL appropriately. In searching I've seen setups for joy/gamepads and think it will be similar. Any hints would be gladly accepted. Actual machine running seems to be just fine (as it should since the pulses come straight from the BBB P8 and P9.) As an ncPOD replacement, it seems like it will be an adequate substitute.
