Greetings;

When I put a halmeter on the motion_spindle_out_rps? line to see what the
commanded spindle speed is, when stopped its properly zero. Click either
direction button gets 1 or -1. Spindle doesn't move of course although all
the relays clank in.

But, a click on the + or - buttons is in increments of 100, so the progress
is 1, 101, 201, 301, 401 until it gets up to a limit after about 10 or 11
clicks.

Today I am going to install an si diode in the analog voltage line from the
C41 to the controller so that the minimum output voltage from the C-41,
about 120 millivolts, is essentially blocked by the barrier voltage of the
Si diode.

But, I would like to have the first click on the direction button output a
value that would bring the spindle up to a visible speed, say about .5 rps,
or 30 rpm. That would imply a starter value of around 150 or more to
overcome that diodes drop, the drop being required in order to trigger the
drivers zero speed lockout reset which does not reliably occur at a 120 mv
minimum when stopped.

How can I accomplish this good sized starter step just from clicking on the
direction button?

Thanks.

Cheers, Gene
