If you want an off the shelf solution. Nook in Cleveland has the parts to do that. (Miter Gearboxes, tubular alum drive shafts, etc).
I have worked on a couple of projects that used their products and it usually just works after some preliminary engineering. The Nook engineers are good to work with.
