I have had a chat with them, and it looks like about £300 for a PSU for this application. I am wondering, though, if it might not be a better idea to use a very simple transformer/rectifier/cap PSU. The solenoid coil seems rather indifferent to the quality of power, it works down to 5V and probably wouldn't melt at 50 V. Currently it has a duty cycle of 1.5 A for 100mS every 30 seconds. A £300 PSU for that seems overkill. The problem seems likely to be finding a cap that can smooth 1.5A at 50Hz but that will also last a long time. -- atp If you can't fix it, you don't own it. http://www.ifixit.com/Manifesto ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Download BIRT iHub F-Type - The Free Enterprise-Grade BIRT Server from Actuate!
