I should be able to run the mesaflash utility from my home directory, as 
long as the .bit file is in that directory correct?

Also, I don't have to do anything jumper wise to make this happen do I?

I tried running running the "mesaflash --device 7i80 --write 
7i80hd_16_rmesvss6_6.bit" and all I get is "No 7i80 board found"

I have not tried to do anything with the IP address yet.

Be back at it in the morning, but will be checking email this evening,
