A fresh card works.

So now I am in search of a 10 foot length of 8 gauge equ flat ground 
strap, to tie the computer to the drive housing and on to the frame of 
the G0704 to see if I can absorb an ground loop spikes that may have 
blown the other card.

But in Weston, WV, they are fresh out of hens teeth...
So I expect its fleabay search time.  For a 25' roll of 6 or 8 gauge.  
Amazon had it, 1/4" wide, bought 2 25' rolls. S/B here Saturday.
