Until shown differently, I'd have to assume the fuel line, if it can be 
had in a big enough bore to fit your hose barbs, would be just the 
ticket.  But can you not substitute a magnetically coupled small pump 
for the hand pump?  Those can generally handle some pretty ugly 
chemistry, like ferric chloride for PCB etchant.  Check the fine print 
of a decorative fountain pump at Lowes, HD etc. I have some experience 
with that 50 some years ago, even spent, its very destructive stuff to 
try and put down the drain.  We hadn't heard of neutralizer yet in those 
days. :(
