That isn't at all unheard of in BMW circles, a bit more rare with other bikes, but not necessarily because they aren't capable of it. Here, if you see a bike on the highway in the rain it seems like 95% of the time the guy is on a BMW.
What is impressive is that he accomplished those miles in the dreary land of England.
