Greetings All;

Assuming I make a special config for my lathe that is basically the mills
xy table motions, the G5 group start points and end points I can grok,
but I am now trying to figure out what is meant, in the examples shown
in the docs, by the phrase "first control point" and "second control
point". And which brings up the obvious question of how many control
points can I specify?

If more than 4 points are needed to adequately describe the desired
shape, how can I achieve something that passes smoothly thru 5 or 6 such
points that aren't a straight line?

My vision of what I'd like to do would be to set the start point, then
set the end point, then spec the y offset at arbitrary x points in
between the start and end points, then trigger the actual motion to draw
a smooth curve that passes thru all the intermediate points specified.
That doesn't appear to be possible. :(

This sounds like a G5.2 to G5.3 thing, but so far I've not been able to
keep it from coming back at the end, drawing a nearly closed fishhook.
There probably is a way, but the docs are way too concise.

Help please.

Thanks.

Cheers, Gene Heskett
