Good Day All,

The  international workshop manual  suggests that bore and fit oversize pistons.

We always used  cylinder  boring bar such as Van Norman .
These boring bars only rotate a cutter at  the bottom of the boring bar,
also there is adjustable traveling steadies ( called cats paws ) that stop 
chatter.
We have bored cylinders on a horizontal mill but the boring bar must be 
supported both ends .
similar to boring bars used to repair earth moving pivot bushes.
 Boring  a cylinder is the easy part, getting the correct depth and cross hatch 
on the cylinder bore is the
most important part.
