It doesn't make sense. Lathes were fully supported for several years before the schism/fork of Machinekit. So, all features that were in LinuxCNC before that should all work in Machinekit. Lathe threading had been working since a LONG time ago, since at LEAST 2008. Now, there have been some major changes in 2-axis tool offsets in the tool table, that was done for lathes. So, maybe that is what they meant about not supported. That's the ONLY thing I can think of. Or maybe it is constant surface speed, although that should be able to be done OUTSIDE of Machinekit, with a few HAL commands. There is also feed per revolution, but I think that has been there for some time, too.
