from that machines dmesg:
2601807.281485] hm2/hm2_5i25.0: 34 I/O Pins used:
[2601807.281490] hm2/hm2_5i25.0: IO Pin 000 (P3-01): IOPort
[2601807.281495] hm2/hm2_5i25.0: IO Pin 001 (P3-14): PWMGen #0, pin
Out0 (PWM or Up) (Output)
[2601807.281499] hm2/hm2_5i25.0: IO Pin 002 (P3-02): StepGen #0, pin
Step (Output)
[2601807.281503] hm2/hm2_5i25.0: IO Pin 003 (P3-15): IOPort
[2601807.281507] hm2/hm2_5i25.0: IO Pin 004 (P3-03): StepGen #0, pin
Direction (Output)

The kicker is that pin 14 was actually the relay control on this
sainsmart bob, and I removed the relay, and jumpered the trace to the
relay coil to one of the now unused relay output terminals, also wiring
up ground to the relay center, an jumpered the 5 volts to the last relay
contact. That bob needed all the grounds I could give it. The net result
is that the actual signal waveform at that output is right side up. So I
tried to invert_output on gpio.001, which ack the above, should have
done it. Failing that, I am in the midst of trading that input for
reverse polarity drive to one of Jon's pwmservo amps. But it got late,
and I was getting hungry so I came in to find my lady sound asleep. I've
eaten but she hasn't and she needs to so I may wake her before I give it
up for the rest of the night.

Anyway, thats the story so far. Reverseing that drive polarity needs more
wires, and the terminals aren't big enough to take all the wires needed,
so I've wasted at least an hour trying to make up a daisy chain that
will actually fit the terminals without falling out half n hour later as
I double check what I've done.

Cheers, Gene Heskett
