OK, managed to get me a spiral with 6mm pitch 3mm wide.
So now I have to try tracing out sutable parts from scroll and copy over
the other, each trace from start and end of scroll.
Then make a 3D print to verify my doings.
Hints on tracing?

try this
Create --> Coil.
The choose a flat coil with zero height. In this case you want to
use a
square cross section and then apply a 2-sided chamfer to the square
to make
a taper. But maybe you like square? maybe some small fillets. to
take
the sharp edges off.
But the "trick" is the relish you can make a coil with zero
elevation gain
per turn, kind of like the main spring in an old clock.
I just tested this out, take about 2 minutes after you think to try
using
"coil"

Well Chris, I can not find a way to this in Frustration 360 ;)
Give me a hint what commands to use, and yes my mill is sturdy
enough to
do the job.

Why not model it in Fusion 360? The scroll is a constant spiral
and most
3D modelers can do that. I don't see any reason why I couldn't make a
chuck in Fusion. Then once you have the model you can use some of
Fusion'stoolpath generators to create the g-code. The software is
free
but
the skill needed to use it take time.

Hi,
Looking for a g code generator for scroll jaws.
I have a Ø125mm 3-jaw chuck with 6mm scroll pitch and would like
to be
able to mill my own soft jaws.
Have bee searching the web but I can not find anything. Any help
pointing me in right direction would be appreciated.
Cheers Bengt
