Signals are something that you make yourself. There are _no_ predefined signals in LinuxCNC. The stepconf and pncconf wizards use a consistent set, but those can be freely renamed if you want. Think of signals as wire colours. There are some vague standards, but if you want to use purple for +240V and red for GND it will all still work. Similarly you can connect a signal called coolant-temperature to stepgen.0.step and the data on that signal will be X steps. -- atp "A motorcycle is a bicycle with a pandemonium attachment and is designed for the especial use of mechanical geniuses, daredevils and lunatics." — George Fitch, Atlanta Constitution Newspaper, 1916 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list Emc-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
