My idea though, was that these items are meant to be low cost. If they
could be made easily, make 100 Nuttools (new word.) and fit every drill bit
and cutter you'll ever need. If not a grubscrew, then a light press fit and
some loctite and it's done .

You want to get away from the having to work with the ER collets.
Practically and cost wise. Or maybe have a few of them for your expensive
cutters.

The second stage would be to have a cutter grinder accepting the same
Nuttool so you can re-grind the bits in situ.
