The overall software time would be even higher. We purchased some new AMD hardware 2-3 weeks ago and we are still fiddling with optimizing preempt_rt and drivers for Debian Sid. Moving LinuxCNC over to an ARM board and offering a customer a one year warranty would take weeks of software cleanup and tweaking time.
