I've a much earlier PMDX that I put in a box with the driver removed from
the micromills head box, one with manual controls and the lcnc
interface. But from the rumors I hear, newer versions are much more
difficult to use. I've noted also that PMDX is noticeably absent from
this list, and consequently long removed from my list of who to buy
stuff from. Jon and Peter SUPPORT their stuff, so the list is both
short and a no brainer these days. FWIW, that old control should still
work, and while it was doing a 200 watt motor, the pass transistor has
been replaced with a much heavier device and should not have a problem
with a 400 watt motor. Very stiff speed control, I had to add an
ammeter to see when I was about to blow a fuse. Somebody should make me
a $50 offer as I'll never use it again.
