Possibly, the servo pack has an 'encoder out' feature that you could run
back to the mesa.  Sometimes those encoder out features are standard
quadrature A, B, Z outputs...  That would work well.


Yes, the slightly older Servo Pack drives I worked with all had this feature. they converted the proprietary Yaskawa encoder signals to industry-compatible quadrature plus index signals in the drive.
