actually if anyone has a minute I am just about to connect my MPG up to the
mesa 7i76 board.

I am using the 5v fanuc mpg for now just to get it working.  I will use the
12 volt mpg later probably or buy a whole pendant.

I think I may need to connect the 5vground and 24v ground together on the
mesa card.  I am just a bit reluctant to do that as then I loose the opto
isolation and the pc could get damaged etc..

can someone pleasee confirm if that is really what I have to do to get a 5
volt mpg working..  and also if I do that want dangers am i introducing to
my mesa card..
