I saw that, but 26x26 is still a fat inch, so it won't fit.

Thats good but can the clamp then be tightened again to hold that without 
dinging the parallax too bad?

Absolutely, if it does it in a reasonable length.  The wide angle is nice 
for depth of focus, but it sure hides that last thousandth too.
