dead end 404 link Andy. And toolholder=R8 here. > It works with: > https://forum.linuxcnc.org/48-gladevcp/30587-camview-for-wheesy-and-je >ssie I think thats what I have installed right now. Maybe 2 yo? but testing my existing camera on the wheezy install with it hanging beside a 20 watt led flood, looking down at the machine bed, thats a beautiful full color but out of focus pix (its been fiddled with for closeup work.) Showing 12 to 14 fps in the qv4l2 capture screen. Better than its ever done with camview. I am encouraged. Stuck it back on the dovetail mount, and ran lcnc. Died as usual when camview was told to display its 800x600 screen at above 800x600 by 3 or 4 pixels. Camview is slow, maybe 4 fps, and still pukes all over itself if asked to resize the image above 1x, which it can very easily do on that monitors 23" 1920x1080 screen. qv4l2 of course shows its native 640x480 perfectly. I am convinced camview is crap, except I did have one camera that worked perfectly even before wheezy. Pushing a decade ago. But that camera got the guts pulled out of it by a cable that didn't slide when it should have. Now this camera goes totally spastic if the window size is limited by both the h and v edges of the axis display window, it sits and jiggles, bouncing off both h and v edges alternately at about 10 jiggles a second. Very distracting. Glanced at the rain gage as its raining here (yet, missed one day in 3 weeks), and someone has stolen it! The bracket on the back deck wall I put it back in 2 weeks ago for the summer is empty. In 30.4 years here, that's the 2nd thing actually gone missing. 1st was a 14 volt Hitachi drill and battery, but I still have its twin and both chargers. Something every 15 years is a pretty good average. :) Cheers, Gene Heskett -- "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
