Greetings all;
I need to drill 6 holes in the face of a nema-23 adapter I'm making for a
bigger 100/1 worm drive. That bolt circle is nominally 64.8mm in
diameter so i feed arcgenm18,py 0,0,64.8,0,60 and click show me. The
first line of the answer is the offset, driving the machine to the
center of the first hole at 3 oclock on the circle.

Now I'm in Merica, so the tool bit is an 1/8 carbide, and I need a
nominally 5.2mm hole. So I need to cut a circle of about 1.1mm radius
as I spiral the bit about 25 times while going down around 14mm to go
all the way thru this piece.

So I first send it a g91 to put it in relative mode.
I reset arcgenm18.py for a 2.2mm circle, and drive the machine to the
starting point that gives. Which works fine.

But LCNC upchucks on the g2 line that arcgenm18.py puts out, saying its
off by 50%.

The last time I needed to do something similar I had to use g90 and
define all the offsets and add the appropriate offset as additions in
every line of g2 or g3 code, which multiplied the size of my code by the
number of holes * 2.

why can't I make the relative movements work for circular work?

Thanks all.

Cheers, Gene Heskett
